Governmental Affairs

Group attorneys assist client with complex permitting, regulatory enforcement and compliance issues, economic development and redevelopment incentives, government contracts and administrative litigation as well as traditional advocacy at all levels of government. They coordinate with legislators on the drafting and introduction of legislation, serve as bi-partisan advocates or opponents to bills as clients' needs may dictate, and track legislation that impacts the Mid-Atlantic business region.

Dilworth's Government Affairs practice is chaired by John O. Bennett, III who served as co-president of the New Jersey Senate from 2002-2003 and was a member of the New Jersey Legislature for more than 24 years. Bennett's practice area provides advocacy at all levels -- the Legislature, the Governor's Office, and the departments and agencies of the executive branch.

Representative clients of the government affairs practice include: Atlantic Health System, representing the second largest healthcare provider in the state of New Jersey, New Jersey Gasp and New Jersey Horsemen Association.
