Dilworth Counsels the National Museum of American Jewish History through Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

As the National Museum of American Jewish History navigates its Chapter 11 bankruptcy case, Dilworth Paxson LLP continues to support them through each stage as primary counsel.

On March 1, 2020, the Museum filed its voluntary Chapter 11 bankruptcy petition in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, as well as its Plan of Reorganization and related Disclosure Statement. Following that initial filing, the Honorable Magdeline D Coleman held a hearing on “first day” motions on March 4, 2020.

Since then, the Museum has completed its section 341 meeting of creditors and is working towards approval of a Plan of Reorganization. As the Museum continues to work through these changes, it remains closed to the public to ensure the safety of both employees and visitors, as enforced by state and federal COVID-19 restrictions and mandates.
